Watford have already held initial talks with Arsenal over a move for Bosnian International full-back Sead Kolašinac. The 28-year-old is out of contract with the Gunners in June 2022 and is expected to leave North London when his contract ends.
The Watford Observer report that initial talks have already taken place between the two clubs with Watford keen to take the player on loan initially, given his six-figure salary would be a stumbling block for the Hornets.
A potential solution could see both Premier League clubs opt to split his salary during his potential six-month loan spell with Watford pushing for the left-back to reduce his salary.
Talks are reported to be far from conclusive at this stage, with Watford also looking at Rangers defender Borna Barisic, along with Hibernian’s Josh Doig.
The priority is thought to be a natural left back given that Adam Masina is away at the African Cup of Nations with Morocco next month, leaving Danny Rose as the only left-sided full back in the squad.
