Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is expected to see a specialist for the ankle injury he sustained at the weekend. The Ghanaian international limped off in the Gunners 2-1 friendly loss to Chelsea with coach Mikel Arteta saying it “didn’t look good.”
Goal now report that the outcome from scans on Partey’s ankle are ‘mixed’ and he is expected to be out for a few weeks according to sources close to the player .
Partey is expected to miss the opening Premier League game against Brentford on August 13 but he is not expected to be out for the long-term.
According to Goal, Partey could miss ‘a few weeks’ and there will be no need for surgery on his injured ankle.
The 28-year-old is expected to see another specialist later this week and will be forced to sit out this weekends match against Tottenham Hotspur.
