Arsenal are approaching the completion of deals for Benfica’s Nuno Tavares and Anderlecht’s Albert Sambi Lokonga. The duo have both been closely linked with a move to North London in recent weeks and could be announced as new signings this week.
Sky Sport report that left-back Nuno Tavares is currently in London at present and once his quarantine period is over, he will finalise his medical checks before joining Arsenal in an £8m deal.
Sky also report that a deal has been agreed in principle with Anderlecht for Albert Sambi Lokonga for a £17m fee with the payment structure currently being finalised between the two sides.
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta’s relationship with Anderlecht boss Vincent Kompany has reportedly helped the move go through smoothly, given their time together at Manchester City.
According to Sky, there is still a little work to do on finalising Lokonga’s deal but it’s expected to be announced in the coming days.
