Arsenal have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, according to The Telegraph. The Blue’s are looking to offload Abraham before the start of the new season with the young England international having failed to secure a role in Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side.
The Telegraph report that Chelsea are looking for at least £40m to sell Abraham, with West Ham, Arsenal and Aston Villa also in the running.
The report suggests Arsenal may hold an edge, given the 23-year-old is a boyhood Gunners fan, however the club would need to sell players before meeting the £40m valuation.
Both Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira are expected to be sold in the weeks ahead as Arsenal look to secure sales while Granit Xhaka is on the verge of a move to AS Roma with only the final details to be confirmed.
