Player Ratings: Norwich 0-5 Arsenal

Arsenal were in dominant form, beating Norwich 5-0 with goals from Kieran Tierney, Emile Smith Rowe, Alexandre Lacazette and a brace from Bukayo Saka. The Gunners took control in the first half with Martin Odegaard providing a pair of superb assists before Saka secured the result with his third. Lacazette scored from the spot to break Arsenal’s recent penalty woes before Smith Rowe came on from the bench to tap in the fifth.

Aaron Ramsdale: Made one or two easy saves in the opening 45 minutes and looked in control at every point, even when Norwich did briefly threaten.  6.5/10

Rob Holding: Caught out on one occasion and was lucky Ramsdale was on hand for an easy save. Not great on the ball, and carelessly gave the ball away yet again in the second-half. Shaky. 6.0/10

Ben White: Largely untroubled in the first half and did some good work tracking back when caught on the ball. Solid without having been seriously tested. 6.5/10

Gabriel: Quiet and confident throughout and rarely troubled by what little attacking threat Norwich offered. Seemed to have the measure of Pukki from kick-off. 6.5/10

Kieran Tierney: Got forward and whipped in some decent crosses before latching onto a superb Odegaard assist to put Arsenal 2-0 up. 7.0/10

Granit Xhaka: Kept his head for most of the opening half but picked up a needless (and customary) yellow card. 6.0/10

Thomas Partey: Bought plenty of energy to the centre of the pitch and almost capitalized on a Norwich mistake. Mopped up loose balls and turned in a much improved performance. 6.5/10

Martin Odegaard: Pulled the strings from midfield and looked to open up Norwich at every opportunity in the first half. Played a delightful ball for Saka to open the scoring and then another exceptional through ball for Tierney to score the second. Conductor. 8.5/10

Alexandre Lacazette A handful of half-chances but wasted a decent opportunity from Saka’s cross. Cut a frustrated figure at times but took his penalty with a cool finish and led the attack pretty well. 7.0/10

Bukayo Saka: A constant threat from the start of the game and took the opening goal with the neatest of finishes. Scored another exceptional solo goal beating Williams and coolly finishing with his left. Unstoppable. 9.0/10

Gabriel Martinelli: Incredible work-rate from the first kick of the game – pressured Norwich high up the pitch and forced errors with his intelligent runs. Despite not scoring, his presence alone was enough to cause Norwich problems. 7.0/10

Mohamed Elneny: Solid cameo. 6.0/10

Nicolas Pepe: A few nice touches and an assist of sorts for Smith-Rowe. 6.0/10

Emile Smith Rowe: A brief cameo from the bench but yet another goal for the super-sub. 6.5/10
