Pablo Mari could leave Arsenal in January

Arsenal defender Pablo Mari could leave the club in January, having failed to feature in over three months. The centre-back has managed just three appearances all season, the last one coming in September 2021.

The 28-year-old signed for Arsenal on loan in 2020 before making the move permanent the following summer. Since then, he’s featured sparingly and largely as a back-up defender.

Goal Brazil journalist Raisa Simplicio reports that Mari could leave Arsenal in January and his ‘priority is to continue in Europe’ rather than returning to Brazil.

Mari has made 22 appearances for the Gunners over 2 seasons, scoring one goal in the Europa League.
