Arsenal have confirmed that youth player Kido Taylor-Hart has signed his first professional contract with the Gunners.
The youngster was expected to continue his career in North-London by signing a long-term deal and the club have now confirmed the news via a statement on their website:
“Kido Taylor-Hart has signed his first professional contract. The 18 year-old winger enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2020/21, scoring six and assisting four in just 11 appearances for our under-18s.
He also made his debut for our under-23s in October 2020 against Liverpool, and went onto score four in his next 13 appearances.
A boyhood Arsenal fan, Kido joined us aged seven and he has developed through the Arsenal Academy and is also an England youth international.
“It’s a good feeling!” Kido told Arsenal.com. “I’ve been at the club for a long time, so I’m proud. It’s a proud moment for me.
“I support this club so obviously I want to play for the club and spend as much time here as possible and hopefully progress into the first team!”
Everyone at Arsenal would like to congratulate Kido on his first professional contract and we look forward to seeing his continued development.
