Martin Odegaard could complete his move to Arsenal later this week according to reports from The Mirror. Both Spanish and English press have reported that the Norwegian youngster is poised for a return to North London this summer.
The Mirror report that Odegaard’s agents are expected in London later today in an effort to thrash out a deal for his return to Arsenal.
According to their report, the player wants a resolution to his transfer by this Friday at the latest and he is expected to return to the Gunners on loan for the 2021/22 season.
The suggestion is that Arsenal will pay Odegaard’s wages in full for his season long loan with the club given first refusal over signing him permanently next summer for a fee of £30m.
The 22-year-old had a positive spell with the Gunners last season and its suggested that coach Mikel Arteta is a big admirer of the youngster and pushed for his return this summer.
