Joe Willock poised for Newcastle move

Various reports in the British press suggest that Joe Willock has reached an agreement on personal terms with Newcastle.

The player has been in talks with the Magpies over a return to St James Park having had a successful end to his 2020/21 loan spell.

The Telegraph, The Guardian and others now report that there’s been a breakthrough between the two parties.

According to the reports, the 21-year-old has agreed personal terms with Newcastle and could feature in this weekends match against West Ham.

Arsenal have already agreed a deal worth a reported £22m for Willock who ended his loan spell at Newcastle with 7 goals in 7 games.

Willock is considered Newcastle’s top target this summer with manager Steve Bruce reportedly pushing to secure his transfer.

The player is expected to travel to Newcastle today ahead of a medical tomorrow and an official announcement from both clubs.
