Everton are making a late push to sign Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan with an option to buy next summer. The 24-year-old is on the fringes of the team and has only featured from the bench so far this season.
The Athletic report that Everton have been in talks with The Gunners to sign the youngster on loan for the remainder of the season and club management are considering the deal.
The player voiced his frustration earlier today, taking to Instagram to share a post which read: ‘All I want to do is go where I’m wanted and where I’m gonna play.’

The latest reports from Daily Mail suggest that the player has held talks with both Mikel Arteta and Edu in an effort to resolve the situation.
As things stand, Maitland-Niles is expected to remain at the club, but things could still change with the transfer deadline just 24 hours away.
