Arsenal are on the verge of completing a contract extension for 20-year-old academy star Emile Smith Rowe. The youngster has been the subject of sustained interest from fellow Premier League side Aston Villa who have seen their £25m and £30m bids rejected in recent weeks.
Arsenal have been steadfast in their position over the youngster, insisting that they would not sell him with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta declaring Smith Rowe would ‘100%’ be staying in North London next season.
The Evening Standard now report that a new improved contract has been offered to the player and its expected to be signed very soon.
Talks over the contract are reportedly in the final stages with the player expected to agree a longer-term deal having established himself as a key part of Arteta’s team.
