Dusan Vlahovic is Arsenal’s priority

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic remains Arsenal’s ‘top priority’ according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein. The Gunners are short of options in attack and are in the market for a new centre-forward.

Vlahovic has emerged as a top-target for the club in recent weeks, with numerous reports linking them to the Serb.

David Ornstein reiterated the reports, stating that Arsenal are pushing hard to sign the 21-year-old. He also called Vlahovic the Gunners ‘key target’ for attack with Alexander Isak and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as credible backup options.

Despite the links, Ornstein reports that the deal for Vlahovic would be very hard. However, Arsenal have indicted that the high price-tag is a level they would to go to in order to sign him.

The Daily Mail report on similar lines, suggesting ‘there is an acknowledgment at Arsenal that the deal to sign Vlahovic is expensive, but there is also a realisation that if they are prepared to pay a premium that they stand a good chance of signing Vlahovic, who is expected to be a hot property in the summer.’
