Crystal Palace begin Eddie Nketiah talks

Crystal Palace are in talks to sign Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah who is out of contract in six months time. Arsenal have made attempts to keep him at the club but talks over a new contract have failed.

Nketiah has struggled for game time this season, spending most of it on the bench. Despite this, he’s scored vital goals for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, including a hat-trick against Sunderland.

The Times report that Palace’s previous offer of £12 million was rejected last summer with Arsenal asking £20 million.

Nketiah is looking for regular playing time and is also linked with a free transfer to Germany in the summer.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta wants Nketiah to stay as his departure would leave the club short in attacking options.
