Arsenal will consider offers for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the January transfer window. The former club captain has fallen out of favour with manager Mikel Arteta and was dropped from the clubs last four games against Southampton, West Ham, Leeds and Sunderland.

The 32-year-old was given special dispensation to travel to France to be with his mother but returned late and was left out of the squad for the Southampton game and has failed to feature since.

Football.London now report that Aubameyang is considering his options ahead of the January transfer window while Arsenal are also open to offers for the player.

Aubameyang trained alone from the first-team in recent weeks and is due to fly to Cameroon to join up with the Gabonese national squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations in January.

The players is thought to be keen on a return to France where his mother was based up until recently, however Spain and Italy are both options for the experienced striker who speaks both languages fluently.

Barcelona, PSG, AC Milan and Juventus have all emerged as potential options for the striker but his £350,000-a-week salary could prove a stumbling block to most clubs in Europe.
