Arsenal want Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans and representatives on both sides have already met. The Gunners are short of options in the centre of the park with Granit Xhaka and Sambi Lokonga currently available.
Goal report that the Belgian’s agents have already traveled to North London to hold talks with Arsenal. The 24-year-old has a contract with Leicester until 2023 and has yet to agree a contract extension. Speculation abounds that the Foxes will likely sell their prized midfielder if renewal talks are not forthcoming.
Arsenal are close to agreeing a loan deal for Juve’s Arthur as a temporary stop-gap until the summer. Tielemans is seen as a more long-term fit for the club, given how well he would fit in a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1.
The youngster has made 131 appearances for Leicester, scoring 23 goals in four seasons in the Premier League.
