Arsenal remain interested in Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale with a formal bid expected after the EURO’s end. Sky Sports report that Arsenal’s interest in the 23-year-old goalkeeper is expected to become more formal, once the European Championships end, given that Ramsdale is currently on duty with the England national team.
According to Sky, the Gunners are in the market for a new goalkeeper to ‘fight it out’ with Bernd Leno for the number one spot at the club with the German keeper having suggested he may want to try a new challenge.
Arsenal were also reportedly interested in Brighton keeper Matt Ryan who spent last season on loan with the Gunners, however Ryan wanted assurances over first-team football with the club.
Ryan is now expected to join La Liga side Real Sociedad with a deal very close to completion.
