Arsenal offer €70m for Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal have made an offer of €70m for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic in a bid to sign him in the January transfer window. The 21-year-old has a contract with La Viola until 2023 but talks over a contract renewal have stalled.

The Serbian international has 18 goals in 20 appearances so far this season, attracting attention from across Europe.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport report report today that Arsenal have made a bid of €55m to sign Vlahovic. The offer also includes the transfer of midfielder Lucas Torreira, valued at €15m, brining the total to €70m.

According to Gazzetta, the Gunners will pay the €55m in installments and the offer is enough to make Fiorentina consider.

Vlahovic is also a target for Italian side Juventus but his salary demand of €8m has reportedly cooled their interest.

For now, the striker is remaining coy over his future, telling Politika:

“I have stated this several times so far. A beautiful football story is being made here in Florence.

“We have a good team, great football players, great support from the fans. It all deserves respect.

“Only God knows what will happen in the next period. My wish is to bring Fiorentina to Europe, because we have not been in Europe for a long time.

“I don’t know what can happen overnight. We’ll see.”
