Arsenal are once again being linked with a move for Leicester City midfielder James Maddison with an official bid expected soon.
It’s the second time in as many weeks that the Gunners are reportedly looking to Maddison who enjoyed his best season yet with Leicester, scoring 11 goals in 42 appearances.
According Arsenal insider, the AFC Bell, the club are expected to make an attempt to sign Maddison in the coming weeks, offering a four-year contract and a salary that will double what he currently makes at Leicester.
The AFC Bell suggest that the Gunners are very serious in their attempts to sign Maddison and he’s their ‘primary target’ this summer.
Maddison is reportedly open to the idea and has discussed the possibility of signing for Arsenal with his inner circle.
The AFC Bell also report that there have been no denials from the players side regarding the links with the Gunners and while the potential of completing such a move is not easy, Arsenal don’t see it as a losing battle and are realistic about their chances.
