The Athletic report that Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham this summer, but a move would depend on outgoings. The 23-year-old England international, a self-confessed Arsenal supporter, is reportedly ‘admired by several influential voices within the club, including manager Mikel Arteta.’
Arsenal could look to sign a centre-forward before the transfer window closes, with Abraham high on the list given his lack of playing time under Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel last season.
The Athletic suggest that Abraham is aware of Arsenal’s interest ‘and would be open to the prospect of a move across London’, although the Gunners would prefer to take him on loan, rather than pay the £40m Chelsea are asking for.
A potential move for the striker would be dependent on player sales and while the club current boast a crop of strikers, the future of both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah in the air.
