Reports from France suggest that Arsenal have made a bid to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar this summer. The Gunners were closely linked with a move for the 23-year-old last summer but saw their offers rejected by Le Gones President Jean-Michel Aulas.
Further reports at the time suggested that the deal fell through, in part, due to the demands of his agent while Aouar said he wished to continue with Lyon.
Le10sport offer an exclusive report that Arsenal have returned this summer with a new bid for the French international with Lyon asking for between €25m and €30m (£21.4m-£25.7m).
Alongside the Gunners, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint Germain are reported to be interested in Aouar who looks more likely to leave this summer.
A tweet from famed Arsenal news source ‘TheAFCBell’ also commented on the story, but claimed that while there is interest in the player, talks haven’t reached the stage of official offers as yet.
